The Texas Workforce Commission has developed comprehensive guides for Texas Workforce Center, Board, and all TWC staff. Each guide provides comprehensive, statewide policy and resources for operational guidance and oversight of services and contains learning components to reinforce and support key concepts.

LEP Guide for Workforce Professionals

The LEP Guide for Workforce Professionals was created to assist Local Workforce Development Boards and staff, Texas Workforce Center staff, and education and training professionals plan, develop, and implement strategies to effectively deliver workforce solutions for the growing limited English proficiency (LEP) workforce in Texas. The LEP Guide comprises four unique modules that present a user-friendly blueprint for enhancing services to LEP customers.

Using Bookmarks in PDFs
Bookmarks have been inserted to help you navigate the guides when you use Adobe Acrobat Reader.

To view the bookmarks:
1. Click on the “Bookmarks” tab in the top of the left margin of the screen. A bookmark column appears.
2. Click on a topic (bookmark) to go to that section.

Wrapping text for easier viewing:
1. Click “Options” at the top of the bookmarks window.
2. Check the “Wrap Long Bookmarks” box.

Changing font size
1. Click “Options” at the top of the bookmarks window.
2. Hover the mouse over “Text Size” until selection box appears.
3. Click Small, Medium, or Large to adjust the font size .

Adjusting window width:
1. Hover the mouse over the right outer frame of the bookmark. The pointer changes to a re-sizing tool (double arrows) when in position.
2. Click and drag the frame left or right to adjust the width of the bookmark window.
